Track consolidation

The Track Consolidation module collects, summarizes, and consolidates object tracks generated by the Fusion Tracker module.

Because each Track Consolidation instance depends on data from a Fusion Tracker instance, the Fusion Tracker configuration can affect its output. For example, features such as

on the Fusion Tracker instance also affect the consolidated data.

Instances

A device is preconfigured with a fixed number of instances of this module type.

There is one instance of the track consolidation module for each instance of the Fusion Tracker module.

Function

This module provides consolidated data for each object's track, including the track itself and aggregate properties of the object's state.

Properties

  • Classes - A set of plausible classes, with a summarized score for each
  • Vehicle Colors - A set of observed colors, with a summarized score for each
  • Human Upper Clothing Colors - A set of observed colors, with a summarized score for each
  • Human Lower Clothing Colors - A set of observed colors, with a summarized score for each
  • Observations - A list of all recorded observations for the object, including a bounding box for each observation
  • Image - The object image snapshot of the object
  • Min and Max speed - The min and max speed of the object
  • Start Time - Start time of the track, when the object was first detected
  • End Time - End time of the track, when the object was last observed
  • Duration - The duration of the track, i.e. elapsed time between first and last observation
  • End Reason - Indicates why a track ended
note

When the module receives an object detection, it saves the timestamp in UTC system time. If the system time changes while a track is active, subsequent detections use the updated system time. As a result, the track duration may differ from the time between its start and end timestamps. Depending on the size of the time change, the start time may even be later than the end time.

Output protocols

This module's output is available through the following protocols. The format depends on the protocol.

ProtocolNameFormatGuide
MQTTcom.axis.scene.object_track.v1ADF Object Trackscene metadata over MQTT
Device Data Hubcom.axis.consolidated_track.v1.betaBeta format ADF Beta Consolidated TrackBuild an ACAP that consumes scene metadata

Limitations

  • If 10 minutes have passed, the track is ended prematurely to conserve memory and a new track is started with a new id.
